“We are here to break barriers and do things differently.
As a woman who enjoys whiskey, it's often a spectacle to others when an unassuming woman orders a whiskey neat at the bar. The ‘bewildered’ looks and curiosity is a conversation starter in and of itself. The opportunity to share my whiskey knowledge and cheers with a stranger-turned-friend is something I truly live for. And I welcome the exchange of smiles as a result.
I find that hiking and exploring the woods alone as a woman awakens a similar feeling—a ‘wild’ feeling. Having a set of survival skills that include foraging for my own food and knowing that I am prepared for almost any situation allows me to embrace a freedom I don’t always find in the real world.
While my hope is for all to enjoy this brand, it is my goal for everyone to find inspiration from what the brand stands for: being bold and a little wild.”

About Our Founder
Kelley M Dugan
With an MBA from Boston College and over 12 years of experience in the restaurant industry, including time spent at a respected whiskey bar, Kelley honed a keen appreciation for fine spirits and the craft behind them.
But it was the rich, untamed landscapes of New England and the abundance of wild mushrooms that sparked the idea to blend the region’s natural bounty with one of America’s most iconic drinks: whiskey.
Growing up in the heart of New England, Kelley developed a deep connection to the forests and natural beauty of the region. As an avid hiker and forager, she has spent years exploring the forests and fields of New England, cultivating an appreciation for the diverse, wild mushrooms that thrive in the region’s rich ecosystems. This deep respect for the land is reflected in the creation of their mushroom-infused whiskey, a product that honors New England’s heritage and the natural beauty that continues to inspire her.
In addition to her expertise in whiskey and hospitality, Kelley is a certified Reiki practitioner and yoga teacher, reflecting her holistic approach to life and wellness. These practices have influenced her philosophy of creating a product that not only offers unique flavors but also nurtures a sense of balance and connection to nature.
With Bewilder Be Wilder, Kelley seeks to pay homage to the forests of New England by infusing its wild-foraged mushrooms into every bottle of whiskey.
